FENDER TUCKER'S

NIGHTSONGS

Rarely does anyone ask me "What are you doing tonight?" but if someone did, I'd have to say, "I watch TV (usually British mysteries) with Judi until 10, then while DVRing Jon and Stephen, I go into my Ramble House room and record a nightsong."

"What is a nightsong?" you may ask, and the answer is: one of the meandering songs I record at night with my Fender G-DEC amplifier. I use the program ACID to do the multi-track recording and COOL EDIT PRO to do the mix-down. Then, AltoMP3Maker to turn it into a 128k MP3 to put up on the web site for anyone to hear.

2012 NOTE: As you can see, I haven't done any nightsongs lately. In fact I hardly play my Gibson ES-335 at all. Instead I play a Gallagher and Son acoustic guitar and have been tinkering around with recording classic songs that I might be able to sing. I also don't use the software listed above. Now I use Audacity for recording tracks and Switch Sound Converter for making MP3s.

Consider it my blog. I plan to add them nightly, at least at first.
